Pedal Power. Postal services and the bicycle

The cabinet exhibition ‘niemals radlos’ (Never Without Wheels) is dedicated to the development and significance of bicycle use in the German postal service from its beginnings around 1900 to the present day. It shows how the transport bicycle – from the classic bicycle to the e-trike – has shaped everyday working life at the post office for decades. The role that cycling may have played in the emancipation of women will also be a topic of discussion.
