As earlyas 1896, postal workers began riding the first postal bicycles, revolutionizing delivery. Since then, the bicycle has become an indispensable part of everyday postal service. Our exhibition takes you on a fascinating journey through the history of the bicycle at the postal service and shows how it made postal operations more efficient, inspired generations, and remains a key to sustainable mobility to this day.

Learn how postal transport on two wheels was continuously perfected, the significance of women‘s cycling for emancipation, and how the iconic image of the female postal worker on a bicycle came about.
