Lucky Luke. Morris´ Lonesome Cowboy

For 80 years, he has been riding off into the sunset after every adventure: Lucky Luke, the man who draws faster than his shadow. To mark the anniversary of the legendary comic cowboy, the Museum of Communication Berlin is paying a major tribute to his creator, Maurice de Bevere, alias Morris.

For the first time in Germany, around 80 original comic pages and cover illustrations by Morris are on display. The exhibition offers fascinating insights into the creation and development of one of the world’s most successful comic series. It is made possible only thanks to the generous support and cooperation of the Morris family.

The originals are complemented by selected objects from the collections of the Museum Foundation for Post and Telecommunications, which showcase technical innovations and forms of communication that also play a role in Lucky Luke’s adventures – from the stagecoach to the Singing Wire to the Pony Express.

An entertaining and surprising journey through the Wild West of cartooning and the history of technology – curated by Flix and Dietrich Wolf Fenner. An exhibition for comic fans, families, and everyone who has been following Lucky Luke for the past 80 years.

The exhibition opens on Thursday, 1 October 2026 at 7.00 pm (doors open at 6.30 pm). You can register here.
