Journalism comes in many forms and even more genres. Yet despite the long history of illustrations and cartoons in the press, the idea of comics as a medium for current affairs journalism, alongside print, radio, TV and online channels, only gained ground from the 1990s.
This exhibition brings together works by international graphic journalists including Joe Sacco, Olivier Kugler, Bo Soremsky, Viktoria Lomasko and Ulli Lust. The exhibits also
present pioneering comic reportage projects by French and Swiss magazines, as well as Englishlanguage online platforms.
With around 40 selected works, this show offers an insight into the varied approaches and forms of expression in comics journalism.
